Species 2a . Possibly C. decorus group

Larva a small to medium plumosus-type.    Dark gular region and a slightly darkened frontoclypeus.    Mentum with pointed teeth; centre (c1) tooth fairly narrow with short almost parallel sides, c2 teeth fairly well separated (type IV).

Cytology:  4 pairs of chromosomes with the thummi arm combination AB, CD, EF, G.
Arm G usually paired, nucleolus subterminal with a Balbiani ring (BR) nearby and a further BR about one third from other end.    Small nucleolus about centre of arm B.    Polymorphic in A.

Found: Ontario - Bear Creek, Carlsbad Springs.

            Pools in creek.
