Male terminalia of C. species
g.
Pupa: spur with about 3 spines.
Larva of the semi-reductus
type, of medium size. Posterior pair of ventral
tubules longer, anal gills very long. Gular dark and
frontoclypeus also darkened. Mentum with pointed teeth,
centre tooth broad, c2 teeth moderately seperated but tend to
continue edgeline of centre tooth (type I); 4th laterals markedly
reduced (type III).
Cytology: 4 pairs of relatively short
chromosomes with the thummi arm combination AB, CD, EF, G.nbsp; npsp;
Centromeres not noticeably heterochromatic.
Arm G relatively short, normally paired at ends, with a small median
nucleolus that may be polymorphic and a Balbiani ring near one
end. Main nucleolus in arm E at 3f. No
inversion polymorphism in specimens examined.
