Careers in Genetics

Careers In Genetics Evenings - next event will be in Semester 2, 2008.
Discover the career paths of Geneticists with two guest speakers, in most instances at least one being alumni from Melbourne with a Genetics major.
Followed by refreshments in the Mendel Laboratory on the Ground Floor of The Genetics Department where you can chat to the speakers and staff and students of the Department.

Speakers from Semester 1, 2008 were Dr Anna Davey , Acting Director, National Institute of Forensic Science, and
Genetics lecturer Dr Belinda Appleton.

Speakers from Semester 2, 2007 were Genetics Research Assistant Ms. Sara Lewis & Dr. Michael Bogwitz, an Associate Genetic Counsellor at the Monash Medical Centre, both alumni from Melbourne Genetics.
Speakers from Semester 1, 2007 were Genetics Research Fellow Dr. Kylie Boyce & Dr. Steve Sarandopoulos, Director of Scientifix, who is combining Science & Business in his career.

Speakers from Semester 2, 2006 were Genetics lecturer Dr. Alex Andrianopoulos & an Honours graduate Ms. Hayley Webb who is combining Science & Law in her career.
