Teaching

Honours

A major aim of the Honours course is for you to extend your knowledge of Genetics, to begin more professional training as a scientist and to assess your abilities and interest for research. The Honours year in Genetics is an integrated package consisting of a research project and course work conducted under the supervision of a member of staff and an assessing committee which meets with you during the year and provides valuable feedback. The research project continues throughout the year and is assessed by the presentation of a research talk and a written report at the end of the year. The course work consists of lectures and discussions on various topics together with written and oral presentations.
